For those of you who know me I am a very keen fundraiser and have fund raised for Phyllis Tuckwell on various occasions. In all the years I have fund raised for them I have never visited their wonderful facilities until Caroline spent her last days there. Its a wonderful place with wonderful caring staff but unfortunately they rely heavily on donations to run the hospice. Caroline's last wishes were to spend her last days there and I was there when the wonderful Macmillan Cancer staff spoke to me and said that they would try their best but there was a waiting list . She was eventually moved after 12 days at Frimley Park she had a wonderful room with a view of their gardens and her own bathroom and tv and a spare bed for her teddies that came to keep her company. She left us after 4 days at the hospice. So in memory of her lets celebrate her life and raise money for the hospice.
